Our little Turkey + a little surprise
Asher was dressed for his 1st Halloween all day long. From the moment he woke up in his jammies...
...to his "Baby's First Halloween" onsie that was handed down to us from my cousin's son...isn't it so cute?
And, of course, we had to carry on the "Seewald Baby's 1st Halloween" tradition that Reid started 6 years ago...poor baby didn't like sitting in that slimey pumpkin.
He's such a texture boy. He doesn't like to touch anything that's gooey or slimey. His favorite food is a banana, but if I cut it up, put it down infront of him, and let him feed himself...this is how he eats it. He will find a way to eat it without touching the icky stuff.
Finally, he warmed up to the pumpkin...but quickly held his hands up after we got a few pics and was ready for us to take him out.
On Sunday night, we were sitting at the Brieger's and didn't know what we were going to dress up as for Halloween, when Duane gave us the idea to be a pilgrim, indian, and turkey. It was so much fun! (Thanks to Larra and Emily for helping me make my costume...ha!)
So, for those of you who have been hanging with me this whole post waiting for the surprise...we have another little turkey baking in the oven! We just found out last week so I'm only about 5 weeks along. And will be due right around our third anniversary! The new baby and Asher will be 18 months apart!
Some other shots of our darling little turkey!
Enjoy!

Kirby--
ReplyDeleteHi! You don't know me, or maybe you do. (I think I actually met you in person with Cindy Freeman) But, I was at U Paint It last night, were you? I literally woke up at 4 AM thinking, "I know that girl from Heather's blog!"
Anyway, I kept thinking you looked familiar, hence, the staring and smiling. So, if it was you, I'm sorry I didn't talk in person and your plate looks awesome.
Oh, congratulations on the baby! I might have to keep checking back to see your progress. I'm having the baby blues right now...mine's 20 months and eats off the table like Asher.
I wish I'd taken pics of mine inside a pumpkin like that.

Kirby,
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Maybe we've learned a valuable lesson...people who read your blog totally compliment you. I really am just so happy that someone cares enough to read what I post into the deep blue yonder.
So, now you get a special link and I will totally follow your pregnancy.
Oh, and you're just as cute as Heather says you are. And, I decided this morning that it's not too weird to know someone off Heather's blog because everyone in the world reads it. :)
Ok so randomly out of the blue I decide to look at your blog and yay! So glad I did! Congratulations! So exciting! I can't wait to hang out next Friday- two pregnant mommas! Kinda crazy when you think about that we are both pregnant! I would have never thought when you were in high school that we would ever be pregnant together!
ReplyDeleteYa, don't be so shocked darling daughter, I can figure some things out on my own.Anyway, I suppose when the pilgrims got off the Santa Maria they did have to walk in a bit of water to get to shore, so, hence the highwaters huh? He's lucky the indian girl didn't know about fashion cuz then they wouldn't have such a cute turkey!!!
ReplyDelete(I found you through Amanda Miller.) Congratulations!!! Your little boy is so cute and it is great having them 18 months apart, mine are also! Yay for babies!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upcoming bundle of joy!!! That is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI don't get it...what is baking in the oven?
ReplyDeleteEJ
That was the cutest little turkey I have ever seen!!! You guys make a beautiful family and it is so awesome that you are about to add one more, congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I've briefly seen you in passing at church, but never really met.
ReplyDeleteThis picture of baby in pumpkin was too cute not to comment on! I can honestly say I've NEVER seen that before! Adorable and hilarious!
